JUI-F to not accept rigging even if it’s in our favour: Fazl

Peshawar: Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, head of the Jamaat-e-Islam (JUIF), spoke out strongly against political engagements and election rigging, saying his party “Opposition to the heinous crime “will continue”, The News reported on Monday.

“ Rigging of lectures is the most heinous crime. We will not allow it even if it is in our favor, ” The head of JUI-F said in an overnight address to the two-day Central General Council meeting after his conclusion.

Fazal said there could be no immediate but permanent enmity with them.

“ We will keep talking against wrong. “We know how to protect our mandate and we will never troll fraud at any cost,” said the head of the former ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Will.

Fazal made the remarks when he was elected JUI-F’s central head and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri as general secretary for another five-year term.

The two-day meeting discussed the upcoming general elections on February 8 next year. Huddle was attended by council members from across the country.

During the meeting, the party’s central general secretary and provincial heads presented performance reports. Party leaders from all provisions, tribal districts, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir also conducted a third review of election activities and preparations.

The meeting also discussed the situation in Gaza and the party’s views on the issue while the leadership was present to increase preparations for the elections.

From the point of view of general elections, political parties are holding meetings in Pakistan، Establishing electoral alliances and launching campaigners to win voter confidence.

Fazal added that about 30 members of the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) left their party in the National Assembly but the coalition of political parties under their leadership did not The dissenting members of the then ruling party did not accept.

He said the JUI was against lawlessness and was calling for peace in the country.

Raising his finger on the decisions made in the country at the time, Fazal asked if these were state decisions where Parliament was at the time.

The chief noted that his party has always raised its voice in favor of the oppressed around the world. “ We spoke out against American atrocities in different parts of the world. When the whole world had overcome crimes against humanity in Myanmar, we passed resolutions against it in Parliament.”

He said that after the emergency of the crisis in Palestine, JUI-F became the strongest voice in support of the Palestinian people in Pakistan, He added that he visited Qatar to show solidarity with the Palestinian leadership.

JUI-F will celebrate next Friday as a day of solidarity with Palestinian Muslims and rallies and meetings will be arranged for this purpose.

It should be noted that the Supreme Court had ordered the government on November 3 to ensure that the general elections held on February 8, A day after President Arif Alvi and Chief Election Commissioner Alexander Sultan Raja unanimously agreed on the said date during a meeting in the Presidency.

The court’s order is during the hearing of numerous petitions for elections with 90 days of the assessment case.
