However, Solangi clarified that the CCLC is not designed for basic legislation but for sub-principle. He rejected Rabbani’s concerns over the formation of the committee and the two, saying it was formed under business rules.

The minister added that the constitution does not even prevent the caretaker government from issuing ordinances, although there is no mention of the caretaker government. He said that emergency legislation is also permissible under Article 89 of the Constitution.

Solangi also said that the main purpose of the committee is to support the work of the Cabinet Secretariat.
