Gold sets a new record after climbing to a new high after 20 days.
After its value per tola increased by Rs1,150 on Tuesday, the price of gold reached a new all-time high.
Al-Haj Haroon Rasheed Chand, president of the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, released data on Tuesday that showed that the price of a tola, or 11.66 grams, of 24 karat gold increased by Rs1.150 to Rs189,300.
This was higher than the closing rate of Rs188,150 on Monday.
In a similar vein, the cost of ten grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs986 to Rs162,294.
The cost of 10 grams of 22-karat gold, which is frequently used in jewelry making, increased to Rs148,770.
The price of one ounce of gold on the international market increased by $14 to $1,938.
From Dubai, the undercost was Rs3,500.
Silver’s price, on the other hand, remained constant.
Rs2,100 was the cost of a tola of 24-karat silver.
In a similar vein, the cost of ten grams of silver ended the day at Rs1,800.41.
