Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan died just a day after being hospitalized on Saturday, Geo News reported.
The hospital administration said Khan was taken to Peshawar’s Hayatabad Medical Complex after falling ill due to diarrhea. She was in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
Khan had a heart attack and died during treatment.
His general will be held this afternoon at 3:30 in his hometown of Prang, Charsda. They will be buried in the same place.
The former bureaucrat was sworn in as interim chief minister on January 21 this year after the dissolution of the P-Assembly the same month.
He was nominated by the opposition to lead the province and his name was unanimously approved by the outgoing Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) government Was.

Khan was also the Chief Secretary from September 1990 to July 1993. He was also the Chairman of the Pakistan Tobacco Board.
KP cabinet dissolved
Foreign Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Kanwar Dilshad said that the provincial cabinet has been dissolved after the death of the KP chief minister.
He added that all powers have been transferred to P Governor Ghulam Ali.
