Police to exhume bodies of Keamari mystery death victims
Karachi police have started investigating the 18 mysterious deaths which took place in a village of Keamari district last month and are considering exhuming bodies of the victims apart from testing the items which were being worked upon in the illegal factories of the area.
A police investigation team led by SSP Investigations Syed Saleem Shah made a visit to Ali Muhammad Goth in Union Council 8 of the Muach Goth area of the Keamari District one day after the police had filed 10 cases for the deaths there.
According to SSP Shah, they will ask the district deputy commissioner to de-seal the factories so that they can inspect them and send samples for testing.
In addition, he stated that they would investigate exhuming bodies.
The case’s investigation officer has already applied to the court for permission to exhume bodies.
Already operating sealed factories In the meantime, locals claimed that the factories had either already been de-sealed or that their owners had broken the seals illegally and have been coming to their establishment for days.
Even though their loved ones have been buried, some residents who had lost loved ones to the mysterious cause stated that they still do not know what caused their sudden deaths.
In the meantime, two suspects, Shahid Hussain and Saeed Khan, have been sent to jail on judicial remand by a judicial magistrate.
At the subsequent hearing, it has instructed the police to present a challan.
