Shah Mahmood Qureshi is the NA opposition leader chosen by PTI.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday nominated party Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi as the opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA).
Malik Amir Dogar, the leader of the PTI, had previously written a letter to NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf, nominating Qureshi as the opposition leader in accordance with Imran Khan’s instructions.
He stated in the letter that the National Assembly opposition leader should be appointed from PTI following the ruling of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Before appointing the new chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he stated, the federal government ought to have taken the opposition leader into confidence.

Ashraf refused to appoint the opposition leader, claiming that all resignations were accepted in accordance with NA regulations.
He went on to say that letters were sent to the PTI MNAs to check, but no lawmakers showed up.
