Won’t resign or dissolve govt under any circumstances: Bizenjo

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has said that governments were overthrown by someone else, and that they were used for the purpose.

He insisted that he could be fired, but under no circumstances will he voluntarily step down from his position.

This was said by Mr. Bizenjo at a Quetta press conference.

He stated that the province’s elections for local bodies were conducted in a transparent manner and that no one made allegations of the use of government machinery.

He maintained, “I was made the chief minister and put in a difficult spot.”

The chief minister was sorry that “someone else” overthrew governments and used them only for their own purposes.

I am capable of being removed, but I will not resign or overthrow the government. He declared, “I might not even run in the next elections.”

Bizenjo added that elections were unlikely in light of the country’s economic situation. He made the observation that politicians are always blamed for failures.

The chief minister said that more projects like Reko Diq will be done. Balochistan has a 6% stake in the Saindak project, rather than 2%.

He stated that the federal government spends between Rs600 and 700 billion on Balochistan.
